Universal Worlds

So yah. We're making a side scrolling game called Universal Worlds.

Lot's of people from the netgore community may know some of the team. Such as Kyori one of the people helping with netgore (if I remember correctly) and Nitemare60 (he's the founder and spriter).

I'll have to get a confirmation from Nitemare 60 before we can post any ideas we have going or sprites. But I'll tell you it'll be cool.

We have about 4 spriters that can create godly things, my friend and I will be helping with the coding of the ideas we had (like I said not sure if I can go into detail).

So not much to show off except for our team right now, but yaaah. You get the point.

Errr, I'm not sure you'd have to ask Nitemare60. We're part of Gaming World Developers which is going to develop more games and we'll probably need them.

Lol who asks for another team's spriters? Monfang, that's who.
Anyway, yeah I saw some of the artwork back at vbgore. Looks interesting, do you have a website?

Some day I will revive Drasil.net

Not much is open to the public. But if you want to see some of the sprites you could ask there.

Cloven-leaf I'm a programmer + writer for the team and we already have somewhat of a main storyline.

You could probably help with side quests and help us build onto the main story if you want. I suggest you goto the forums and PM nitemare.

Dead project, eh? Oh well, I'll use your video for anyone wanting to see NetGore in motion.

Didnt they use the Ninja Story Engine back then?

Also I'm not too sure if theyre dead....

Doubt Nitemare would let it die off after his efforts over at vbgore

Well the video description mentions NetGore as the engine of choice.

LMAO thats cheap...

Yeah, its not universal worlds 0.0000001, its netgore.

Seriously, NEVER EVER release such a video with your games name...
worst scenario: people laugh at your game
best scenario: programmers come to netgore

for your game, it brings 0 benefit.

netgore is a good engine, it's just the graphics in the demogame that aren't doing the engine itself any justice. In my opinion however the graphics don't mean anything, at least not for an engine. The demogame is more of an example of the functionality rather than a working game. I mean, i decided to help out at svo, and i've ended up rewritng a lot of the demogame, in fact most of it, using the NetGore libraries (kudos to spodi, it really is good fun to work with) especially as it's not tied down to sidescrollers which opens up the market even more, particularly to those that were in the vbGORE community with interest in topdown games. After i've finished messing aournd with various projects i want to have time to get my own going, (which i plan on integrating my own 3D engine with NetGore's for a 3D orpg in which i use the RPG framework of netgore with the graphics of my engine - this is nowhere near even getting started yet however, it's just something i want to do in the future) Also i think when some good games get made with it, especailly if they build up a large community then NetGore will gain a lot more popularity and become a lot better.
