I'm trying to get DX7VB.DLL registered on my Windows 7 machine and its just doesn't work. My old game is made using DX7 in VB6 and I would really like to work on it using this PC. Does anyone know a way around this? If so the help would b greatly appreciated.

Ah well, when you open the cmd prompt you need to right click it and open as administrator even if you turned off UAC. One of the reasons that error is thrown is if you didn't open cmd as administrator so that is probably your problem.
