Similar to music exploration at vbgore, just post some tunes maybe we will end up changing our taste in music (unlikely) ![]()
Rules:
How alternative you are does not determine how kewl you are. There's nothing more stupid than bagging someone for their music taste or imposing your own onto other people. Likewise don't be afraid to post Lady Gaga just because you think shes a babe [lol].
Feel free to discuss any music posted aswell, not every post has to have a link to youtube.
Even though musicality wise this christian rock is pretty good, I have my qualms. But this one doesn't have a billion [direct] references to the bible (like most), so i like to listen to it.
Real Hiphop is a wicked track
anyone use spotify on here? or heard of it for that matter http://www.spotify.com/en/
i MIGHT have invites im not sure.
The mrs uses Spotify, it's a pretty decent piece of software actually ![]()
invite me and tell me what I can do with it ![]()
"share and discover music"
as in free music?
Last 3 posts are spam. This thread is not about software or invites.

ok here ya go.
I love this instrument (piccollo bass, and in addition its strung backwards xD)
This one is good too, its like game music on bass, its a cover of satori by rodrigo y gabriela but i prefer this one. This guy is made of pure awesome, hes like kotaro on bass ![]()

But yeah i better give credit to these guys
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqkJIJ1puHk
Edit: Actually now im not sure if it actually is a cover
Edit: Nope the chord progression is totally different nvm nvm
ok here ya go.

Not sure how I have never heard of that guy. He reminds me a bit of Michael Manring.
Yeah left handed, upside down strings odd tuning and playstyle. After i found out about him from zanval i tried to find tabs but couldn't so i guess thats a factor.
It looks like im gonna have to see if i can cover it with good old standard right handed tuning and piano style finger picking on a steel string acoustic. I'm doubting this is actually possible though worth a try!
his reverse strings are so he can use a typical "bass fingering" playing,
but stil have the adantage of strumming down: the clear high notes.
I made myself a 5 string tenor bass (ADGC)
but I need a 2. Bass to mod it to piccollo.
this is definetely a whole new world
Did I make you guys aware of this fellow here yet?
he has quite some fans at my school, he plays the bass in a rather normal method
(no upside down strings, normal bass strings) but it does sound more like a beautiful harp ^^
Using spotify you can share links and playlists and specific URIs that can be opened in the spotify player to share music tastes, would be perfect for a thread like this. Should have made that more clear, sorry.
Unfortunately i've run out of invites
sorry.
Here is something to keep this post form not being spam.
I'm hoping to see this band in March they are awesome live apparently i missed out on tickets last time they toured (were sold out when i finally decided to buy them
)

(For those with spotify: spotify:track:6tC2iHfUlzB2W4ntXXL2BH)
That song has the potential to be really good. I think the pacing needed to be faster at the start and less techno and i would have no trouble liking to listen to it.
The video was quite creative, i liked it.
Good song Bake, I love Saosin. The style of their songs and Cove Reber's voice is pretty damn good.
This is a song I like, which I used to feel unsure about. Its kind of peaceful but intense at the same time. Take a look here:
i comedy song: i think it's quite catchy ![]()

Funny the first post was Christian rock.
Because I entered this thread intending to post Christian rock.

I think they used to be a christian rock band, but not so much anymore. I really don't know, there's only a few songs I listen to my them, and that's only now and then. But that song ^ Can't get enough.

As far as entertaining music videos go, I prefer this live video of Hocus Pocus by Focus:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpV5InLw52U
Funny music videos are a lot more funny when it wasn't their intention to be so. The keyboardist looks like he did about a pound of coke too much.
A pretty decent song, too, and some very impressive yodeling for a 70's rock band. That man hit highs that even Klaus Nomi would have to respect.

Wham! Incubus.
@Donated Statue AWESOMEEEE ![]()
Something completely different but yet so amazing.
ludovico einaudi - oltremare just a beautiful song. And surprisingly good coding music...

Its a nice song, its kinda weird how my mum was a professional piano player, I somewhat play piano, yet I don't know any good pianists or piano compositions (I spend my entire piano playing time being lame playing super mario themes and final fantasy piano collection).
Unrelated but I tend to enjoy any sort of music pertaining to talent

The drop on this song makes want to... nvm I'll just censor myself.
^ lmao at the comments.
I can only answer to that with electro swing.
Nice rock, i didnt really tell any religious propaganda so I can say:
Awesome song
Here is a song I found on a new network of musicians:
http://www.riffworld.com/Members/DESERTBURST13/undercover-world
Ill post an offtopic thread about this network, its quite cool
I post the most embarrising questions here
Thanks for all your nice replies (I know I would be annoyed by myself slightly
)
