I've taken up the liberty on creating the functional GUI prototype inside C# for everyone. However, I know my preferences but I don't know everyone else's. I've been told a Visual Studio environment is the kind of one everyone would like to work in. I'm asking anyone who wishes to attribute or to suggest how it should look to post here. I'm looking for any MS Paint mock-ups or ideas GUI wise you might have. As it stands, it looks like what Skye says is what it'll turn into to! Not that this is bad if you're all satisfied with his judgement. Smile

Add me to msn if you want BraedonH@gmail.com

Im very interested in a integrated development sort of thing for netgore (for the non-programmers to use)

You could send me screenshots of what you have and I can draw over them in ms-paint and completely ruin it!

Sounds like fun right? right?

I won't give my input since that is why we are in this predicament in the first place. Tongue

Could you post your work on the DevKit repo? That way everyone can take a look at the code. If you're not sure on what goes where just poke me, I'm usually around on MSN.

Will do. I'll be on MSN about 4PM EST tonight probably. Not sure if you'll have time; I have a few things I'd like to discuss. ^.^

Where can I see the devkit repo? I would like to help. At the least I could make some graphics for the GUI.

Here: http://code.google.com/p/netgoredevkit/

PM me with your google account if you want to be able to commit to it as well. And I'll be around, I'm done with exams, got 2 weeks of "vacation". Time to brush up my C# a bit (yes Spodi that's directed at you Wink )... starting with serialization! ^^

I know everything is open-source but with something like a GUI that isn't as abstract and modular as many aspects, should we really be adding so many comitters with so little cordination? GUI design is done via the Designer.cs file, and things could potentially become quite messy working on only a few small form files...

I don't really plan to commit anything other than idea's, mockups and perhaps artwork for the GUI of the kit. So I probably don't need to be added. Just need read access.

Well, most people won't actually commit anything so don't worry. Everyone just seems to be waiting for someone else to do it Tongue

Well, graphics would be nice though, we'll probably need a handful of meaningful icons for the toolbars.

Should probably try to use as many free icons as possible. (at least to begin with) I usually use text at first on my Win Forms applications.
