Donor icon
To be honest the hearts are kinda annoying, here are some suggestions to use instead:
- Bold name
- Slightly different color
I don't really like an image, it just doesn't fit with the all text board index.
When did these come into play anyways?
The names are already pretty bold in the forum profile panels. Any more bold would just look like your name has some kind of dietary problem.
Changing the color would probably be easy enough and a good alternative. Not sure what color to use, though. It'd also be nice to color-code user names by their permission levels (like many forums do). But then the donor status will only show for regular users.
I thought the current donor icon was pretty non-intrusive. The old one, the one that was there when you originally made this post (and probably is still there due to caching - hit Ctrl+F5 if it is) was pretty big and ugly.
A few hours ago. I spent a few hours yesterday properly recording all the donations made for vbGORE/NetGore into a database and cross-referenced each donation with the corresponding PayPal transaction ID. So now I know I have all the donations listed with the proper amounts, and have some flexibility to do stuff like automated lookups on donors.
Yeah, it appears they're smaller now ^^. I guess I can live with it.
I liked the heart! I want one! Going to donate if I get more money hahaha... hey, it's not because of the heart... I'm serious...
