Then you have to look harder. Google whatever you need and you'll find it, no doubt.

Make sure you don't have malware running on your pc as it sure looks like an infection.

I'm too scared to think I had that. It's so hard to get rid of them cheaply

Getting rid of malware is free for home users, though the free method is not always exactly easy.

If you are having problems with a major site like Microsoft when using a link known to work, try again a little later. If it still continues to be a problem, you should probably assume the issue is on your side, not theirs.

Imagine the day Microsoft dies...

What if the universe is just one huge program written in BrainF*ck?

that depends on if they pass the rights on to someone else or not.

Good sites to check for malware infections...

1. Google - The most commonly hijacked site usually disguising itself as google. Simply do a search hover over one of the links and make sure they are all linking to the proper place that is indicated in green. If they are click the link and make sure it goes to the website indicated in green.

2. AntiVirus Sites - After all they don't want you to get rid of their precious money making tool.

3. Microsoft - To prevent you from downloading updates etc that may cripple the software for example security updates.

actually, I checked and this isn't a Malware problem...

it's a MTU problem. I need to find and set my MTU to 1400 to get access to the site.
