Quick question.

I use some forms that cover the whole gamescreen which has a formsize-background image. Is it better to create a picturebox to hold the image, or should I just use the drawontrol method to draw the background image. Now I just use a picturebox, but I also want to draw some other grh's on it ( the pets and their levels (as a shadedstring) and for those things I now use the drawcontrol method. The problem however is that the picturebox image is placed over the grh's drawn by the drawcontrol method. If I use the drawmethod for the background aswell there is ni problem. However I am afraid doing it that way is far from optimal because the drawmethod draws everything like every second ( or even faster).

So what would we the best thing to do ??

Thanks in advance

Either way is fine. But if you use the picturebox, make sure the other controls you add are a child of that picturebox, not just floating on the form. Otherwise, you don't really have much control at all over the draw/selection order.

Is there a way to draw a picturebox that is child to a form, but just below the form?

I want to make the gold tab just below a normal form.
I try to draw it just below the form, but it doesn't go on the other side of the border.

Ok, finally i've found a solution.
Just take the same control as the Close button and your fine.
