While I appreciate all donations greatly, please do not feel obligated to do so. The economy has been harsh to many of us lately, and even just a few dollars is more than some can spare. There are still other ways you can help out with the development of the engine, such as joining the development team.
Donations are typically made through PayPal. You can donate using a variety of payment methods through PayPal, so this usually suits the needs of most people. To make a donation through PayPal, please use the button below:
Alternate methods for donating can be used if needed. If there is another way you wish to donate, please contact Spodi and let him know what way you wish to use instead.
In the past, I have given "perks" to those who donate to my projects. Right now, NetGore isn't mature enough for that. But if perks ever do come out, you will still be able to take advantage of them. That is, if you donate before a perk exists, you can still take advantage of that perk when it comes out. There is no "expiration" on donations - gratitude lasts forever!
Donations to any of my work are all ultimately equal. Look at donations as a way to support Spodi's work as a whole instead of individual projects. If you donate to another one of Spodi's projects, such as vbGORE, you will still be able to take advantage of any of NetGore's donation perks. Likewise, you will be able to take advantage of any donation perks in any future projects.
The same concept from the last question still applies. Those who have donated to vbGORE, even before the idea of NetGore ever existed, can still take advantage of anything donating to NetGore contains.
Donations are all confirmed manually, so they may take anywhere from a few hours to a few days after being received to be acknowledged. If you did not include your NetGore alias or there were any other issues in resolving the donation, you will be contacted through the email you used to donate. If you do not hear back on your donation for 3 days or more, please contact Spodi.
Yes! If you wish to donate anonymously, please still include your NetGore username, but also include a note that you wish to be anonymous. You may also send an email to Spodi after you make the donation stating that you want to be anonymous, or any other information.
By including your NetGore username, it helps simplify the verification of who you are. If you want to be completely anonymously, that is fine, too. The email address you used to make the donation will be kept in private record for future verification purposes (in case you wish to take advantage of any perks that come out in the future). Anonymous or not, this email will never be made public.
See the donators page.
Any additional questions related to donating can be directed to Spodi. Don't feel afraid to ask! :)
