Version 0.3.4 released

Version 0.3.4 has been released. Some bug fixes, some new features, and huge performance improvements related to the database. Delicious? Very much so.

Version 0.3.3 released

Version 0.3.3 has been released. Get it while its hot!

Version 0.3.2 released

Version 0.3.2 has been released. Lots of little bug fixes and minor improvements to make things even easier and more stable. Also some nice improvements to the performance and scalability of the Client, Server, and Editor.

Version 0.3.1 released

Version 0.3.1 has been released. This release fixes quite a few minor bugs, and should resolve any issues people were having with importing the database dump. There are also a few little new features in there, especially for the editor.

Version 0.3.0 released

The long-awaited v0.3.0 has finally been released! While it was a long-time coming, this is by far the largest release of NetGore. Releases should become much more rapid again, as this release implements the remaining major features and changes planned. From now on, its mostly about polishing and expanding on the existing components. It is worth noting that the new editor still has a long ways to go, but it'll be gradually improved upon over time.

Delay on next release

Looks like there is going to be quite a long delay before the next release. It has already been quite a while since the last release, and it will likely be another month or more until the next release. There are just so many huge things being worked on right now, and so much that we want to get done. The networking is being rewritten, the editors redesigned, bugs fixed, tons of new features of all sizes, etc. So don't think we're slacking off, since it has actually been the opposite.

In reality, this doesn't actually mean too much since you can always check out the latest version from the SVN (see the downloads page for details). Also, once this version is done, that will be it for all the major features and changes that we have planned. After that, its just "smaller" features (various GM commands, game features, more stuff in editors, etc). Smile

Editor UI design - live meeting

The meeting has ended. Thanks to all who attended.

We will be having a live meeting to discuss the design of the user interface aspect of the NetGore editors as part of the [[Editor Redesigning]] community project. Everyone is invited, and it is highly recommended you join in so you can have a say on how the editors will look and behave. This is your chance to speak up, since this will be the last time the editors go through extensive redesigning and the outcome will greatly affect all NetGore users. No experience required, and you can just sit in on the chat silently if you wish to just observe.

Community project - editor redesigning

I have put up an outline for a new community project - [[editor redesigning]]. This is going to be a very important community project that will have a huge impact on how NetGore ultimately turns out. So I highly recommend everyone at least check it out.

New web server

We're currently in the process of moving the site to a new web server. It may be a few days until everything is back to being stable and working properly.

If you do notice something is broken on the site, however, it doesn't hurt to make sure we know about it by sending a PM to Spodi.

Edit: The move finished a few days ago, and things seem to be working great.

Version 0.2.3 released

Next release is out! Grab it while its hot!

I'd like to also take a moment to thank everyone who has been helping out with NetGore, whether it has been by writing code, bug-hunting, working on the site, or just talking about what they'd like to see in NetGore.
